Education
I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years.
Born and bred in New York City, I studied drawing and painting in my youth.
I earned degrees at Washington University in St. Louis and The San Francisco
Art Institute (MFA, Fine Art Photography.) I studied with Linda Conner,
Immogen Cunningham, Ansel Adams and Brett Weston.

Experience & Accolades
While pursuing my fine art work, I earned a living in the fields of photojournalism,
fashion and advertising, shooting national and international ad campaigns
with a host of major agencies. I received over 20 awards for my efforts from
the New York Art Directors Club and The One Show. Much of the work was
innovative for its conceptual approach and use of black and white photography
(which had become the "poor cousin" of color.)

My Approach to Wedding Photography
To my wedding work, I bring technical expertise and professionalism, but
most of all, my love for people of all ages.
"You've got to click with the people before you click the shutter."
I've photographed over 200 weddings and each is quite different
— no cookie cutter approach here.
I describe my style as unobtrusive, romantic reportage
with a healthy dash of tradition and a large scoop of beauty.
